Second Language Programme 제 2 외국어 프로그램

Mandarin is offered to Year 5 to Year 8 students.

A Mandarin Learning Assistant is employed to assist with the delivery of the programme.

5학년부터 8학년까지 중국어 (맨더린)를 배우게 됩니다.

Cultural Learning 문화 체험 교육

Maori 마오리

English, Te Reo Maori and New Zealand Sign Language are official languages in New Zealand. English is the medium for teaching in most schools.

Aotearoa New Zealand has a proud bi-cultural history. At St Heliers School our students are exposed to a range of cultural experiences relating to Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Māori.

We aim to uphold all of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.

During students' time at our school, the students gain understanding of Maori culture and language and how that strengthens our bicultural relationship.

Students have a diverse range of experiences, including a visit to a Marae in Auckland, powhiri practices, foundation level of Te Reo (Maori language) is used daily, Kapa Haka (cultural performance group), Maori culture sessions within the classrooms.

영어, 마오리어 그리고 뉴질랜드 수화는 뉴질랜드의 공용어(모국어)입니다. 영어는 대부분의 학교에서 수업을 위해 쓰여지는 언어매체입니다.

뉴질랜드 (Aotearoa)는 유럽과 마오리, 두 문화가 융합되어 있음을 자랑으로 여기고 있습니다. 저희 세인트 헬리어스 학교에서는 마오리의 여러 풍습과 전통 (Tikanga), 언어(Te Reo), 마오리 세계 (Te Ao Māori) 와 연결하여 다방면에서 문화 체험을 하고 있습니다.

우리는 와이탕이 조약의 모든 원칙을 유지하는 것을 지지합니다.

우리 학교에 재학중, 학생들은 마오리 문화, 언어, 어떻게 우리의 양문화 관계가 굳건한 지의 이해를 얻게 됩니다.

학생들은 오클랜드에 있는 마라이( Marae), 포휘리 연습, 매일 사용하는 기초 단계의 마오리어, 카파하카 (문화 공연반), 교실수업에서의 마오리 문화 수업등을 포함하여 광범위하고 다양한 경험을 가지게 됩니다.
