A Great Start To School

We have only been at school for 3 days but we are so pleased with how well the children have settled back into school. It looks like many of the children couldn’t wait to start school again.

We are so impressed with our new Year 1 children, how they have taken to school like a duck to water. They are becoming accustomed to the routines and learning about our school values.

Our International Students have been buddied up with other children and are not only getting used to a new country , but also a new way of schooling. These are brave children, and they are doing so well.

All our new children from other schools in Auckland, New Zealand and abroad are fitting in well and by all accounts have enjoyed their first 3 days at St Heliers School.

We want to assure you that the teachers carefully watch the children in the first few weeks of school to make sure they have settled into their learning, have friends to play with at morning tea and lunch time and are happy coming to school.
