Popokanua (Y2/3) Visit Stardome

In Week 3, the Popokanua Year 2 and 3 students visited Te Whātu Stardome to celebrate our inquiry learning focus this term, Space. During our visit, students took part in engaging classroom sessions where some learnt about Earth’s orbit and how it creates day and night, while others explored the planets and their order from the Sun. We also enjoyed exploring the interactive gallery spaces, which helped deepen our understanding and knowledge through fun, hands-on learning experiences. One of the highlights of the day was watching a movie in the incredible dome theatre, where we travelled from planet to planet while learning fascinating facts about our solar system.

The bus trip home was only slightly quieter, as many students were still buzzing with excitement and talking about all the interesting things they had learnt throughout the day.

A huge thank you to our wonderful parent helpers who supported us and helped make the trip such a successful and enjoyable experience.
