School Cross Country

After horrendous weather forced us to postpone from 29 July, we were rewarded with a stunning day for our Cross Country event on 31 July. The sun was shining, the breeze was light, and conditions were perfect for running.

Year 7 and 8 pupils kicked off the day with two laps of the course, followed by Year 4 and 5 pupils who completed one lap each. Year 6 wrapped up the event with an impressive two laps. The cheering and encouragement along the track showed true school spirit, and some fantastic times were recorded by our speedy runners who will now head to the Bay Suburbs and Eastern Zone event on 12 August.

The course had its fair share of mud, making parts of the run a bit slippery, but our runners showed great determination. Even when the start area became churned up and a couple of shoes were left behind in the mud, their owners quickly retrieved them and dashed off to rejoin the race.

It was wonderful to see so many parents out there supporting and cheering on the children. Congratulations to all participants for their brilliant effort. You made our school proud.
