81 St Heliers Students Complete Weetbix Tryathlon
Yesterday near record numbers competed in the Weetbix Tryathlon with the St Heliers school team at the Pt England Reserve on Sunday 22 March. The school would like to thank Kathy Harding for preparing the children for the event with the many training sessions and then cheering them on the day. By all accounts it was a fantastic day with perfect weather.
Another successful St Heliers School Event.
Here is a message from Kathy Harding:
I hope things were calm and happy in your homes last night, as I am guessing that you might have had to deal with a few overtired champions.
Thank you so much for everything you did to make it possible for your child to participate in yesterday's amazing event. I know that the memories made will stay with them for years to come. Those moments where it was hot and hard out there, and they pushed through anyway to cross the finish line with a smile, are beyond valuable. I am super proud of them all and I truly hope they carry that pride in themselves for as long as possible.
Please encourage the children to take their medals to school for morning assemblies this week so that they can be acknowledged. The children should just wear their medals to assembly, rather than take them to the office.
Thank you again for your support and enthusiasm yesterday, and throughout our training sessions in the lead up to the event.
