Amazing Year 8 Boys Football Team

The Year 8 Boys competed at the Eastern Zone Year 8 Boys Football on Thursday 15 May.

They made the semifinal in the A pool against Dilworth School and won that to make the final. In the finals against Kings it was 0-0 so it had to go to a penalty shoot out. Unfortunately they lost the shoot out so in the end came second - an amazing result. Apart from the penalty shoot out they did not concede a goal the whole day.

I was impressed by the way the boys played, their attitude and sportsmanship. An extra treat was chatting and getting a photo with Adam Paulsen at the tournament. A huge thanks to Eric for coaching the team and Martin for helping out.

We look forward to seeing how well the perform at the AIMs Games in September.
